Isolation and Identification of Staphylococcus saprophyticus from Diseased Hybrid Sturgeon

چکیده
Hybrid sturgeon is an important economic fish species in China. In 2021, a bacterium was isolated from the liver and kidneys of freshwater-farmed hybrid Yichang City, Hubei Province, causing disease with high mortality surface bleeding. Through morphological observation, 16S rDNA gene sequence analysis, pathogenicity, antimicrobial sensitivity test, as well serum physiological biochemical it identified Staphylococcus saprophyticus named E702. The E702 highly homologous to S. GenBank. Phylogenetic analysis showed that clustered into one clade. 50% lethal dose 2.14 × 105 CFU/g. percentages monocytes eosinophils were markedly increased diseased sturgeon’s blood, whereas platelets lymphocytes decreased. activity levels aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase alkaline phosphatase significantly increased. suffered obvious damage many tissues organs, especially kidney, showing swelling, hyperemic inflammatory cell infiltration. sensitive antibiotics such neomycin, cefazolin, norfloxacin, carbenicillin, gentamicin ciprofloxacin. study not only proved responsible for great deal deaths, but also shed light on its potential risks farming. research results provided theoretical basis diagnosis prevention this disease.

Isolation, identification and antimicrobial susceptibility of pathogenic Aeromonas media isolated from diseased Koi carp (Cyprinus carpio koi)
Aeromonas infections are the most common bacterial disease of cultured fish in China. In this study, a gram-negative bacillus was isolated from the liver of diseased koi carp (Cyprinus carpio koi), and named strain KC-2. The results of morphological and biochemical tests, as well as phylogenetic analysis derived from 16S rRNA and gyrB sequences indicated that the isolated strain KC-2 was highly...

متن کاملUse of a novobiocin-containing medium for isolation of Staphylococcus saprophyticus from urine.
The use of a novobiocin-containing medium provided little benefit over observable quantitative growth on blood agar in detecting Staphylococcus saprophyticus in urine cultures.
متن کاملStaphylococcus saprophyticus hemagglutinin binds fibronectin.
Attachment of microorganisms to host tissue is regarded as an important step in the pathogenesis of infections. Staphylococcus saprophyticus adheres to various epithelial cells and hemagglutinates sheep erythrocytes. The hemagglutinin has been identified, but a human target for this surface protein is still not known. In our report, we show that hemagglutinating strains of S. saprophyticus bind...
متن کاملAbbreviated scheme for presumptive identification of Staphylococcus saprophyticus from urine cultures.
A simplified scheme for the presumptive identification of Staphylococcus saprophyticus was investigated. Clinical isolates of Micrococcaceae were tested in microtiter plates containing phenol red-novobiocin-turanose broth and phenol red-arabinose broth. Standard saline suspensions of test organisms served as inoculum. Identifying features were growth within 18 to 24 h in novobiocin-turanose bro...
